Personal Details: Joan Lind was a British war bride of RNZAF fighter pilot Murray Lind, who also lived in Cambridge post-WWII. Joan and Murray had met whilst both stationed at No. 5 AFU, RAF Condover. Murray gained special permission to return from the Continent to Solihull in July 1945 so the two could be married.

Joan and Murray ran the well known Triangle Tearooms on the corner of Victoria Street and Empire Street (nowadays known as Deli on the Corner).

Service Details: Joan was a WAAF in England and met and married Murray Lind there, coming to New Zealand after the war.

Connection with Cambridge: Joan lived in Cambridge from the 1950's onwards.
