Service Details: Keith Shaw joined the RNZAF at Rotorua for Initial Training Wing on the 4th of April 1942. Following elementary flying training in New Zealand he embarked on the Day Star liner for further flying training in Canada on the 31st of October 1942.
Having achieved the rank of Flight Sergeant, on the 27th of April 1944 Keith was commissioned as a Pilot Officer. By 1945 he'd risen again to Flying Officer rank, and he was transferred to the Active List of the Reserve of Officers on the 17th of March 1945.
