Personal Details: Norman was the son of Mr. H.E. Porritt of Cambridge

Service Details: Norman began his Air Force service at RNZAF Station Harewood where he trained as a Flight Mechanic.

He received severe leg injuries during a small arms training exercise on a North Island Air Force station, according to a tiny report in the Auckland Star dated 18th of November 1942.

Connection with Cambridge: Norman's father lived in Cambridge and as the Porritt family was well established in Cambridge at the time it seems that Norman amy well have resided in the town too.
