Personal Details: Pat was the eldest daughter of Mr. Harold Francis Saville and Mrs. Jessie Saville (nee Weston). Pat had two younger sisters, Alice Elizabeth Saville (later Alice Cotter, born 20 October 1921), and WAAF Florence May Saville (known as May, later May Millener), plus a younger brother Douglas George Samuel Saville (known as Bunty, born 26 March 1928).
Pat moved to Cambridge with her parents and siblings when she was in her late teens. The family lived at 3 Thornton Road, Cambridge. Pat's parents owned and ran a tea rooms upstairs in the Triangle building in the main shopping area of Cambridge..
Pat was married twice. She married Gordon Rex Andrewes in 1940. When she enlisted in March 1942 pat's surname was still Andrewes, however the marriage apparently dissolved.
She then married John Francis Gregory Anderson (born 12th of May 1919) at Cambridge on the 24th of August 1946. John had served in the RNZAF - where Pat had met him at a dance. He served as a Wireless Operator-Air Gunner with his final rank being Flying Officer. His service number was NZ412974. John died on the 3rd of August 1998.
Service Details: Pat's sister May Saville (later May Millener) joined the WAAF at the same time as Pat, in approximately 1942. The pair joined up at the RNZAF Recruiting Office in Victoria Street, Hamilton. They were both sent to RNZAF Station Whenuapai. Pat became a Physical Training Instructor while May became a Mess Hand in the Airmens Mess.
May recalls about Pay, "Well, she was with me at Whenuapai, and then she was posted somewhere else. She was a PTI instructor for some time. But then she was Manpowered out to make something - she was very good with sewing. I don't know what she made, it cloud have been uniforms, I think."

Connection with Cambridge: Pat moved to Cambridge in her teens and lived in Cambridge, before she joined the WAAF.
