Date of Birth: Bill was born on the 22nd of November 1923, at Hastings
Personal Details: He was the son of Bernard and Anastasia Barugh, of Hastings. Bill married Jo Jackson in 1946 at Tauranga, and they moved to the Cambridge district three years later. They had a daughter, Heather, and a son Ian.

Service Details: Bill served as an air gunner during two tours at Guadalcanal and Bougainville

Connection with Cambridge: William and Jo moved to Cambridge in 1949, and were farming down Gryce Road, Roto-o-rangi on a rehab farm. They retired from farming in 1988. They were very much involved in the Cambridge RSA for many years.
