Personal Details: William Entwhistle was a school teacher at Cambridge High School before enlisting in the RNZAF

Service Details: William Entwhistle enlisted with the RNZAF on the 12th of January 1942, and on the 1st of April that year was granted an Honorary Commission with the ASD Branch. Having been a school teacher he became an Education Officer.

One of his postings was to No. 8 (GR) Squadron on the 29th of June 1942 as Education Officer at RNZAF Station Gisborne.

Cremated at: Purewa Cemetery, Auckland

Connection with Cambridge: William Entwhistle was a teacher at Cambridge High School before enlisting in the RNZAF, and I believe he returned to that school after his demob.
