Service Details: Jim was in a ground mechanical trade, and served only within New Zealand. His sister-in-law Berys Wiseman says " He was an LAC mechanic based in Christchurch, Woodbourne and Rongotai. He was not sent overseas as he was wanted to repair the aircraft in NZ." He also had the unusual job of working on an Avro Lancaster that visited New Zealand on a bonds tour in 1943, the first such of these famous bombers to do so.

Buried at: Hautapu Cemetery, Cambridge
