Guest: Bryan Cox – WWII Fighter Pilot and Author
Duration: 45 minutes
Topic: This recording was made on Saturday the 13th of November 2004 at the Victoria Room of the Cambridge Town Hall, at the official launch of the Wings Over Cambridge website. The event was also a reunion of Air Force veterans and those who served in other Air Arms in WWII such as WAAF’s and Fleet Air Arm pilots, all of whom lived or had lived in Cambridge. Many family members of veterans were also in attendance. We had over 90 people there, at least half of whom were WWII veterans.
The keynote speaker was pilot and author Bryan Cox, who was himself born in Cambridge and spent his early life here, and in this recording he tells the assembled guests about his wartime experiences.
This recording comes from a video record that was made by Mike Cater and Paul Bevan on the day.
