In this episode Dave Homewood visits the Tangmere Aviation Museum and he speaks with the museum manager Paul Waite. The museum is situated on the former RAF Tangmere airfield, famous as a front line station in the defence of the United Kingdom during the Battle of Britain, and as a base for numerous Fighter Command an No. 2 Tactical Air Force squadrons taking the offensive back to the Germans thereafter. In the postwar years it also became the base of the High Speed Flight of the Central Fighter Establishment, whose pilots set some of the world speed records of the 1950s.
