22 September 1915, at Hayfield, Derbyshire, England, as Arthur Lowe

Died: 15 April 1982, at Birmingham, England, after suffering a stroke, aged 66

Parents: Arthur Lowe (senior) (died 12th August 1971, aged 82 and Mary Lowe (nee Ford, known as Nan)

Married: Joan Cooper, 10 January 1948, at Robert Adam Registry Office, The Strand, London (actress, born 23 August 1922 – died 1989)

Children:  Stepson - David Gatehouse (Joan’s son from a previous marriage) and Son - Stephen Lowe (born 1953 at Hammersmith, London, UK)
